Jake & Kat – Engaged

So very excited to share these photos with you! This is one of my absolute favorite locations to shoot, along with one of my favorite couples. Kat and Jake are very dear friends and was honored to shoot their engagement pictures. Jake is a great musician and lead singer for the children’s Bear Hug Band, and Kat is a preschool teacher. They were the best of friends before Jake realized that he couldn’t live without her.. and wanted to be more than just friends. Of course Kat had felt the same way for the longest time, and well.. the rest is history. Their love for each other is evident and shines through in each of these images.They are absolutely perfect for each other: they both love country music (somewhat of a rarity here in SoCal), line dancing, have a special love for children, are sweet old souls, and most importantly have an unwavering love for Jesus. I cant wait to be in AND shoot your wedding in September! Love you both!

Andrew & Brittany Married!

Andrew & Brittany’s beautiful vintage inspired wedding was held this past August at the Bandy Canyon Ranch in San Diego. I first took their engagement pictures last summer here in Orange County and had the pleasure of their session being featured on A Paper Proposal last December! Andrew and Brittany are one of the sweetest couples, and I am so glad to have had the privilege to meet up with them so many times. Maybe some maternity pictures in the future? ;) Anyways, back to the here and now:

Phoenix – 1st Birthday

Phoenix Mae and her family hold a special place in my heart. Her mother is one of my dearest friends and I have had the pleasure of knowing them since Nevaeh (now 7) was about 2yrs. A few years ago they moved up to Carpinteria to be a part of Reality Carpinteria, and have since moved to Boston to plant a new church, Reality Boston. Just before they left, I was able to spend a few days in Carpinteria and celebrate Pheonix Mae’s 1st Birthday! Here are a few shots from a quick session we did at the end of the day. To say that she enjoyed her cake is definitely an understatement.
