Jake & Kat – Engaged

So very excited to share these photos with you! This is one of my absolute favorite locations to shoot, along with one of my favorite couples. Kat and Jake are very dear friends and was honored to shoot their engagement pictures. Jake is a great musician and lead singer for the children’s Bear Hug Band, and Kat is a preschool teacher. They were the best of friends before Jake realized that he couldn’t live without her.. and wanted to be more than just friends. Of course Kat had felt the same way for the longest time, and well.. the rest is history. Their love for each other is evident and shines through in each of these images. They are absolutely perfect for each other: they both love country music (somewhat of a rarity here in SoCal), line dancing, have a special love for children, are sweet old souls, and most importantly have an unwavering love for Jesus. I cant wait to be in AND shoot your wedding in September! Love you both!

Styled Wedding Shoot

This is one post that I am beyond excited to share with you! For the past few months I have been organizing a styled wedding shoot. When I first had the idea to put something like this together, the only thing I knew was that I wanted to do it in this small lemon grove that I recently stumbled upon, and to have a {lot} of yellow details. I am lucky enough to know some AMAZING vendors and we all collaborated to put together a beautiful photoshoot. The outcome was a beautiful, vintage inspired wedding dinner in a romantic and secluded lemon grove. Our bride & groom are in fact newly weds and did an amazing job. Have you seen a better looking couple?? All the vendors are listed on the bottom of this post with a link to their website. Enjoy and please let me know what you think!

Andrew & Brittany- Engagement

Brittany was in town visiting Becca’s sister, Sarah, when I first met her two years ago. She tagged along with Sarah to my bridal shower, and at the time, I assumed the extent of our relationship would involve being facebook freinds. I never imagined I would be shooting her engagement pictures! Actually, at the time I didn’t expect to be taking anyones engagement pictures, ha! Ok, back to the happy couple.. Andrew and Brittany started dating in high school and have been in love ever since. They love the outdoors, are passionate about their Lord, and are both studying to be in the medical field. Pretty much their awsome. I’ve had this idea for a while to shoot a couple riding a tandum bike in a field while the girl is holding balloons; I’ve just been waiting for a willing couple. Lucky for me, they were more than willing. 🙂

Without further adue, Internet, meet the lovely Brittany & Andrew:

Ryan & Amy – “Day After” pt1

Amy & Ryan are.. AWSOME. I’m somewhat biased since Ryan is my cousin but really. They’re pretty fun people. Amy is a junior high science teacher and has no fear of bugs. She is actually intrigued by them. Ryan is one of those techi nerds (JUST KIDDING!) and works with me at Calvary Chapel. Even though we work at the same place and live only a couple of miles apart, we don’t really get to hang out much outside of family events and holidays. So with that said, it was a lot of fun goofing off and having fun together for an afternoon. Ryan and Amy got married a year ago but wanted to take more pictures in their “wedding attire” and take some ‘casual’ pictures too. So it wasn’t quite a “Day After” shoot..more like a year after! We met up at my friend Lauren‘s house (also a photographer) and shot all of these pictures in her backyard (and frontyard)! She has a gorgeous backyard and its HUGE for Orange County, so we had lots of different spots to shoot. I will be posting their “casual pictures” next week, because there were too many to choose from for just one post! Amy, you are stunning. Ryan is one lucky guy to have you and we are so glad to have you as a part of our family. 🙂
